Prices
The product group includes operation of residential buildings, office buildings and educational buildings including schools, kindergartens, and day-care centers. It is the operation of the individual building that can be certified. The product group also includes e.g. homes for the elderly and nursing homes, health centers and clinics.
Nordic Swan Ecolabel building operations are a better choice for the environment, the climate, and the occupants. The requirements promote reduced climate impact, adaptation to a changing climate and resource efficiency. They also benefit the indoor climate of buildings and aim to prolong their lifespan.
The requirements include:
- Energy efficiency or implementation of energy-saving measures.
- Reduced demand for energy through metering and continuous operation optimization.
- Identification and analysis of potential climate change risks and adaptation to the changing climate over time.
- Moisture control and minimized exposure to asbestos and PCB.
- Building specific procedures to ensure satisfactory air quality, ventilation, and thermal comfort.
- Reduced demand for water through metering, continuous operation optimization and implementation of water-saving technologies.
- A system that makes it easy for tenants to easily recycle, repair and reuse.
- Promotion of biodiversity. Among other things, there is a ban on the use of herbicides – and requirements to protect natural elements of high value.
- Use of several ecolabelled products and services.

*When both the applicant and the manufacturer are micro-enterprises, the fee is reduced by 50%. The definition of company size is based on EU recommendation 2003/361.
**License is granted per country and with each unique building as a separate license product. The fee for a new application includes up to 5 buildings, provided they are documented at the same time and coherently.
***Where audits requires more than one day away from the office including travelling, Nordic Ecolabelling can invoice an additional fee of 1,083 € per extra day. Other extraordinary costs induced by the audit can also be invoiced the applicant.
****The renewal fee only applies if the application has been signed and submitted before end of the validity of the licence. Else the normal application fee will apply.
*****For extension/change of a licence, we charge for the time spent handling the matter. We do not charge for purely administrative tasks that takes less than 1 hour.
