A cleaning service certified with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel meets ambitious environmental requirements and has taken a holistic approach to its environmental work. The cleaning service works in an active and structured way to reduce its consumption and to optimise operations.
A Nordic Swan Ecolabel cleaning service:
- Strictly regulates both the quantity and type of chemicals, to ensure less impact on health and the environment.
- Uses a minimum of 90% ecolabelled cleaning products.
- Minimises environmental impact from transports.
- Sorts waste to stimulate material recycling.
- Works to reduce their consumption of plastic bags.
- Has staff trained in environmentally friendly cleaning methods.
- Has a quality system to ensure high quality cleaning.
- Complies with wages and terms of employment in line with the collective agreements.
A Nordic Swan Ecolabel cleaning service delivers high-quality cleaning with reduced environmental impact. A clean outcome is achieved by using carefully selected cleaning agents in just the right amounts, while avoiding hazardous chemicals. This contributes both to reducing environmental impact and to a good indoor environment. Additionally, a Nordic Swan Ecolabel cleaning service reduces its climate impact from transport by shifting to more energy-efficient vehicles and moving away from fossil fuels.

A separate fee is paid for each commodity group.

* When we refer to the fee per unit, this is one unit for every 200 employees who have started - however always at least one unit for each address that must be inspected.
** Where audits requires more than one day away from the office including travelling, Nordic Ecolabelling can invoice an additional fee of 1,083 € per extra day. Other extraordinary costs induced by the audit can also be invoiced the applicant.
*** The renewal fee only applies if the application has been signed and submitted before end of the validity of the licence. Else the normal application fee will apply.
**** Administrative tasks that takes less than 1 hour will not be invoiced.
If the extension contains new units, the application fee is settled per unit.
***** The maximum fee for a group is 60,000 € per year, however at least 2,167 € per unit + VAT per year.
All fees are exclusive of VAT. All information related to fees is subject to a disclaimer for errors and omissions.
The recipient is liable for the VAT according to article 56 of the Council Directive 2006/112/EC.
